7 Hours with Marcel Wanders in Amsterdam
Macel and I spent the day together yesterday. They have a company boat & we boated around the canals in Amsterdam.
Marcel is totally mad, and the work he does is mind blowing. The top floor of his office is painted white, everything white, the ceilings and window frames and walls and fixtures matte flat not a little bit of shine at all white.

I’m putting this up a little early. The new Munnyworld characters are my favorite creations, ever (at least they are this week, and were last week). Smooth and round and a little fierce. The secret to attitude is to cut the neck at an angle, a trick I learned from 000 early on (and from Comedia del Arte classes I took when I was 22). 3 other new chracters coming, we’ll debut them...

Marcel does these out of clay in 60 seconds. The little ones are then cast and gold plated and sold for about a thousand Euros. This giant size 8 foot version is @ Moooi Flagship Store, Amsterdam.

The Ugliest Bike
I’ve been a bit obsessed with the idea of creating a bike with a single cross tube, thus saving the weight of the traditional triangle bike frame. Anyway, they have them here in Germany, and as you can see the solution they’ve come up with is pretty ugly.
