Macel and I spent the day together yesterday.   They have a company boat & we boated around the canals in Amsterdam.

Marcel is totally mad, and the work he does is mind blowing.  The top floor of his office is painted white, everything white, the ceilings and window frames and walls and fixtures matte flat not a little bit of shine at all white.

Then he places something red in the place, something gold in the corner, and everything pops.

Marcel said to me, “if you can just make the things you design a little useful, you’ll open up a whole new market.”  So, now I’m thinking “useful”.  I’m not so great at useful, yet, unless you include toys that relieve or induce depression in the purchaser.
