Some of you may have heard that THE HOLE IN THE MIDDLE is coming out in June. My first children’s book! With beautiful art by Aya Kakeda, published by Hyperion*/Disney. I’ll post some pictures as soon as I get clearance, Clarence, from the powers that be in the marketing department over there. Meanwhile I’m working on the next one, and have totally fallen in love with 60’s illustration. I just imagine that most of these guys were on acid when they did their work… Love this poster for La Cage Aux Folles! Have use a modified version of this vibe for a future book, but inappropriately. 60’s but digital. Mess it up a bit for fun, make it my own.
